Erskine Writers is an active group that has been established for over fifteen years. With a membership of around 60, we have writers from all walks of life and at various stages, from those with pens that still have ink to established published authors such as Alex Gray, Evelyn Hood, Sheila Lewis and Hugh Rae. OK, so we are name dropping now!

Join our group and discover a circle of like-minded people who will encourage and support you in your writing ambitions and successes. We can help you to develop your writing skills and find markets to suit your work. Best of all, we offer the hand of friendship in a convivial atmosphere where no-one needs to feel too shy to share their efforts. We invite you to browse this website and contact us via the Who Are We? page if you have any questions or would like to join.

Our programmes are varied, to try to ensure that we meet the needs of all our members, whether they are beginners, intermediates or experienced writers.

Details of recent/current syllabus and session topics are given on the What Do We Do? pages.

Membership of The Scottish Association of Writers (S.A.W). The umbrella group for all Scottish writing groups is included in members’ subscription fees and has opened up a new and exciting world for many. Details of the SAW annual conference are given on our News & Competitions pages, along with an overview of in-house competitions and trophies.

Take your writing to a new level!  Welcome to Erskine Writers!
